By downloading or using Coinsights ("the app") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What Coinsights is
Coinsights helps you identify coins from photographs and gives an estimated collector value, together with historical and selling information. It is an informational tool for hobbyists.
No professional advice — important
- Coinsights is not a professional coin grading, authentication or appraisal service, and its output is not a certification of any kind.
- Values shown are estimates generated from catalogue data and automated analysis. Real market value depends on condition, authenticity, mint variety, provenance and current demand, and can differ substantially from the estimate.
- Identification can be wrong. Always confirm the details yourself and, for anything potentially valuable, consult a qualified numismatist or grading service before buying, selling or insuring a coin.
- Nothing in the app is financial or investment advice.
- Never clean a collectible coin — it usually destroys value. Any tips in the app are general information, not instructions for your specific coin.
Your account
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the app.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app: no reverse engineering except as permitted by law, no automated scraping of the service, no attempts to disrupt it, and no use that infringes others' rights or breaks the law.
Subscriptions
- Coinsights Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store. Price and any free-trial length are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by region.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms.
Free plan and ads
The free plan is supported by non-personalised advertising and may limit how often some features can be used. Premium removes ads and those limits.
Content and intellectual property
The app, its design and its catalogue compilation are owned by the operator of Coinsights. Coin reference photographs used in the app are in the public domain or under open licences, credited in the app. Your coin photos and collection remain yours; you grant us only the permission needed to process and store them to run the service for you.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Liability
The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of Coinsights is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on an identification or value estimate, or from buying, selling, cleaning or insuring a coin based on the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
